What is Traditional Chinese Medicine?

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a holistic medical system encompassing acupuncture, cupping,

The goal of TCM is to restore balance within your body.  Western medicine studies symptoms to identify a disease, whereas TCM sees the body as one whole entity and assesses symptoms as patterns of imbalance.

The use of Chinese herbs provides the means to establish harmony and balance in the body. With a goal that focuses on resolving imbalances, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) begins with a thorough evaluation of all your body’s systems.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine in which thin needles are inserted into the body. It is a key component of Traditional Chinese Medicine. There are many diseases and disorders that can be treated with Acupuncture such as neurological disorders, energy disruptions and physical dis-ease in the body.

Cosmetic Acupuncture combines the wisdom of traditional Chinese acupuncture with specialized facial acupuncture to help you look and feel healthy and rejuvenated. It is a type of non-surgical face lift, the truest form of anti-aging medicine because it works internally bringing oxygenated blood to the face which will optimize your health while simultaneously enhancing the appearance of your skin. Cosmetic Acupuncture has been proven to stimulate collagen and elastin.

  • Reduces fine lines and diminishes the appearance of larger wrinkles.
  • Minimizes eye puffiness, double chins and jowls by altering the bodies water metabolism.
  • Improves lymphatic and blood circulation to the face which balances skin moisture.
  • Tightens pores.
  • Diminishes acne resulting from hormone imbalances.
  • Erases years off the face, returning your appearance to youthful glow.

What is Cupping?

Cupping is a technique that uses small glass cups or bamboo jars as suction devices that are placed on the skin to disperse and break up stagnation and congestion by drawing congested blood, energy or other humors to the surface.

Cupping’s detoxifying effect on skin and circulatory system is also significant, with a visible improvement in skin color after three to five treatments. Cupping removes toxins and improves blood flow through the veins and arteries. Especially useful for athletes is cupping’s potential to relieve muscle spasms.

Cupping also affects the digestive system. A few benefits include an improved metabolism, relief from constipation, a healthy appetite, and stronger digestion.
